IN MEMORIAM – JAMES “JIM” CASEY

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Minalex Founder and President, James “Jim” Casey, at the age of 87, on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Through his vision, spirit, dedication, and tireless efforts, Jim established Minalex as a great family-owned company and left the world a better place for all those who knew him.

Born in Oradell, NJ, February 22, 1936, Jim was the son of the late James and Claire Casey. He grew up in New Milford, NJ, resided in New Kensington, PA and Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Flemington in the late 1960’s.

After graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology, he went on to establish the Minalex Corporation, Whitehouse Station, NJ in 1965. Through his stewardship over more than half a century, Minalex has grown to provide the highest quality, aluminum extruded products to local businesses and global corporations alike. As a self-motivated and success-minded businessman, Jim played an active role in the family business until recently.

As an involved community member, Jim was also a participant in many local organizations. This included the local Knights of Columbus, the Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program, the Flemington Falcons, and the Flemington-Raritan Sports Coalition, among many.
